Embossing & Debossing

Description:

Embossing is the process of raising an image and making it stand out from the paper. Debossing is the process of lowering an image and making it indent into the paper. They are created by applying pressure to the paper with a heated metal die.

Benefits:

  • Gives a three dimensional look
  • Can emboss or deboss foiled or printed piece as well as blind (no other process)
  • Multi-level dies can create exotic, multi-faceted looks

  • Limits printing on back of sheet
